#CSM #Easter #Protest #Billiejeankingcup #NBA #UFC #Vegas51
We started the podcast with talking about Easter and the feasts that happen. We shifted our focus to protests and the inconvenience they cause and backlash the protestors experience.
When the conversation shifted to sports our host Darren spoke about the big tennis tie that happened live in Vancouver that he attended this weekend. You have to listen to his thumbs up and thumbs down type segment as he had some great takes.
The NBA had all their playoff matchups solidified heading into the weekend. All 8 matchups played their first game upon recording of this podcast episode. Jason Cameron is the best in the business at breaking down the Association and his unbiased view of the games and league. He outdid himself in this one and if you are a Bball fan you should do yourself a huge favor and watch these playoff episodes.
Well we gave you insight into Jason's expertise on the NBA but he is just as proficient and capable of the greatest insider takes on the UFC as well. Our Complete Media family is lucky and so are you that we have him giving us his valuable time to these podcasts. Everyone should have the passion, knowledge, wisdom and charisma that he evokes in their life and we think you should benefit from it as much as we have over the years! Listen to him breakdown the latest card from the leader in MMA this past weekend. Belal Muhammad got the victory in the main event over Vicente Luque with a perfect game plan. There were a lot of great fights as usual and we talked about the biggest stories to emerge.

#NBA #UFC273 #Jacksonville #Masters #MLB #F1
This was an incredibly diverse sports weekend that had the NBA, NHL, MLB, Masters golf, F1 racing, Boxing and the UFC all in action!
We welcomed back our resident analyst Jason Cameron back after a three week hiatus because of a car accident he was involved in. Luckily he is on the mend and still can bring us great takes on his top sports. With Jason being an expert in some of these sports we had a spirited conversation that you are sure to enjoy!
The NBA's 75th diamond anniversary regular season just wrapped up yesterday and now the playin tournament starts tomorrow to complete the top eight in each conference. Cameron made all of his predictions and gave his insight on the matchups. We also were able to breakdown the series that have already been set in the East and West. This is shaping up to be an epic playoffs that will be fun to watch and consume!
UFC 273 was held in Jacksonville, Florida and had quite the memorable card. Their were two championship fights on the docket but they were upstaged by a welterweight battle between #2 ranked Gilbert Burns and #11 ranked Khamzat Chimaev .
Chimaev had already set some UFC records and was on a meteoric rise up the ranks. He finally got a battle worthy of his skill and toughness and it was the fight of the night and lived up to the hype it received. Both Champions retained their belts in the main and co-main events. Alex Volkanovski steamrolled Chang Sung Jung (The Korean Zombie) to keep the featherweight strap. Aljamain Sterling won by split decision to dispatch Petr Yan and continue his reign as the king of the Bantamweights. It was a very close fight with Sterling getting the nod three round to 2 on two judges cards. The rest of the card was fun and had some intriguing battles and matchups that we broke down.
We finished the podcast with some boxing news. Triple G Genady Golovkin had a huge win over Ryota Murata to hold up his end of the bargain in a possible trilogy fight with Canelo Alvarez. Cinnamon faces Dmitry Bivol on May 7th and if he wins the promoters just need to put these two warriors together in the ring asap! The Errol Spence Jr. fight with Yordenis Ugas takes place in Texas this Saturday. The winner likely faces Terrence Crawford in a superfight to try and become the undisputed champion at 147 lbs. Can't wait!!!

#NCAA #NBA #NHL #MLB #Masters #Tiger #Canadasoccer
We did a solo sports podcast today with Jason Cameron still on the IR list. Darren did a short wrap on the weekends sports and a big look ahead to a very busy week in sports!
We postponed the podcast for a couple of days to allow us to prepare a look ahead and to the watch the NCAA championship game in college basketball. It was a great tournament that culminated in the final pitting the #1 ranked Kansas Jayhawks vs the #8 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. This was a game that was the tale of two halves. UNC was by far the better team in the first half and had a dominating lead up 15 by the score 40-25 in the half. The Jayhawks went into the locker room and made some big adjustments. Only 7 minutes into the second half they had erased the deficit and tied the game up! Kansas was finally playing defense and scoring and turned the tables and flexed their muscle. They ended up showing what had propelled them to a top seed and favorite to win the title. The final blow was when UNC's Armando Bacot reaggravated his ankle injury and David McCormack took advantage of the lack of size inside and scored the two biggest buckets to give Kansas the win. it was coach Bill Self's second title and fourth in team history. It was fun to watch and great to witness the culmination of the tournament.
We looked ahead to the last week of the NBA regular season. We went over the top ten teams in each conference. The Raptors are in 5th place in the East and locked up a guaranteed playoff spot. The Lakers on the other hand were eliminated from playoff competition with yet another loss last night. It was a brutal year and they quite frankly did not deserve to be there.
We also went through both conferences in the NHL and discussed the playoff teams in each. The season would typically be finished by now but the NHL pushed their season later this year and so most teams have 10 to 12 games remaining.
The Masters golf tournament received a massive shot in the arm as Tiger Woods is returning after 508 days off as he recovered from surgery after a car accident 14 months ago. Tiger doesn't just move the needle he is the needle in the golf world and he became the top story in sports this week. It will be fun to see his return and the hype surrounding it. The UFC 273 PPV is this weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. With two title fights on the line this card is shaping up to be epic! Khamzat Chimaev is getting a lot of attention as he returns to the octagon for the first time in a while. Don't miss this card or you will regret it.
This is opening week of the MLB season. The league had its troubles in the off season but most is forgotten now as the full 162 game season starts on Thursday! The early favorites to win it all are the LA Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays. It should be a very fun year North of the border.
The Canadian women's soccer team is playing two games in BC this weekend and the Olympic team will be honored at the game! We have tickets and can't wait to show our support and appreciation.

#UFCColumbus #ChrisRock #WillSmith #TheSlap #WorldCup
We welcomed our old friend Stephane Cappellini to conduct a podcast with us to breakdown the UFC fight card from Columbus Ohio and preview UFC 273.
We missed our usual Monday evening guest Jason Cameron who is at home recovering from an accident. We extend our best wishes and words of encouragement for a speedy recovery! Stephane did a great job in relief though and this was a fun podcast that you will enjoy!
This episode was supposed to focus on MMA and the latest fight cards but started with a couple of very topical subjects. The Oscars that took place this past weekend were upstaged by Will Smith taking offense to a joke about his wife(Jada Pinkett Smith) and delivered by comedian Chris Rock. He marched up and got on stage and slapped Rock across the face. When he returned to his seat he screamed twice at Rock to keep his wife's name out of his mouth and used some expletives to emphasize his point. It was all people could talk about all day today! Most observers thought it was a staged comedic bit until Smith(who eventually won best actor) repeated his warning so loudly and with such dramatic emphasis. Let us know your thoughts on the incident.
You will enjoy the lively discussion about the great feat of the Canadian Men's Soccer team winning their qualifying group and advancing to the World Cup for the first time in 36 years! This became another unifying moment in the country's history as the run that this team was on edged closer to solidifying the most coveted berth. In this proud nations sporting history this will be remembered as an incredibly defining moment of patriotism and nationalism. Congratulations to the entire team and surrounding staff that brought millions of fans from coast to coast together!
On the heels of the UFC in the UK this fight card had a lot to live up to and the live crowd in Columbus, Ohio did their best to voice their support or displeasure at every opportunity. The main and co-main events were overshadowed on the evening by an all out war between a home town favorite in Matt( The Immortal) Brown and Bryan(Bam Bam) Barbarena. Our host Darren Campbell said it was one of his top ten fights of all time in terms of a toe to toe brawl. The last two fights really showcased the contenders from the pretenders and definitely moved the winners into the upper echelon of their respective weight classes. Even though Curtis( Razor ) Blaydes has lost twice to the current champ Francis(The Predator) Ngannou and once to Derrick (The Black Beast) Lewis he has entered into the conversation of the title picture in the Heavyweight division. With Ngannou recovering from knee surgery the promotion will undoubtably hold an interim champion fight and Blaydes will probably be in the contest. His opponent for now remains a mystery but there will be a lot of speculation and the boys give out the names of the possible combatants. This was another fun card that was entertaining to watch and also a pleasure to breakdown with Stephane(Great Capo) Cappellini.

#TomBrady #TB12 #NFL #Freeagentfrenzy #UFCVegas50 #NBA
The sports world was shocked as the G.O.A.T. left the pasture and returned to the NFL! Tom Brady lasted all of 40 days in retirement and put out a social media post to say he is coming back. Brady's announcement came on the eve of Free Agent Frenzy in the NFL and was a cataclysmic shift in the league. There was hundreds of millions of dollars handed out in contracts on Monday to free agents. We went into detail on many of the deals that were announced today.
The UFC card featuring Thiago Santos and Magomed Ankalaev was another main event that failed to live up to the hype and billing. The rest of the card had a lot of entertainment and we broke down the top stories that emerged.
The NBA is starting to get into the stretch run before the playoff and we also discussed many of the teams and great things that happened this past week.

#NFL #Suspension #UFC272 #NBA
We started this episode talking about the worst bets ever placed on sports in history. How do you wager $1500 and lose 10 Million you just have to watch to hear how it could happen.
Calvin Ridley made a terrible mistake and it will cost him dearly. The NFL franchise tag deadline is tomorrow afternoon and so there was a lot of stories about signings, trades and who is in line to get these franchise tags.
UFC 272 had a bitter grudge match as the headliner and another five rounder as the co-main. It was a disappointing fight as the sports biggest jerk won in convincing fashion.
We closed out the podcast talking about the association and the stories of the week in the NBA.

#Ukraine #Boycott #UFC #Vegas49 #NBA #NFL
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has shook up the world and most of the sporting world is asking for bans and boycotts for Russian teams and events. Our host Darren Campbell thinks that every Russian athlete should be barred from competing in any athletic endeavor individual or team sport.
The conversation started with talking about the UFC card from Vegas this past weekend. Islam Makhachev won the main event with a TKO over Bobby "King" Green. According to Darren he should never have been allowed to compete and the UFC is another league that should be banning any Russian from competing going forward. The card had a lot of interesting elements and these two have a great breakdown that you will enjoy!
The NBA is fully into the second half and there is a good exchange about the biggest trade of the season with James Harden and Ben Simmons switching teams. Harden had a historic start to his career with the Philadelphia 76ers while Ben Simmons had a setback in his attempt to return to play this season. We all look forward to seeing how this trade works out years from now! We spent some time discussing both conferences and the top 10 teams in each and how they have been playing lately.
There were a couple of short comments made about the NFL that you should watch and listen to.

#Familyday #Predidentsday #Vegas48 #UFCfightnight201 #NBA #Allstargame #Cleveland #NFL
We had a great podcast on the long weekend holiday Monday. We dissected the UFC, NBA and NFL.
We had a Knockout of the weekend, month and year candidate in the main event of UFC Vegas 48 and Fight Night 201. The light Heavyweight division was put on notice as #12 ranked Jamahal Hill landed a massive shot to the temple of Brazilian Johnny Walker. Walker the #10 ranked fighter dropped like a tree and was severely knocked out and has now dropped significantly in the rankings. The rest of the card turned out a bunch of great fights.
The NBA had their big All Star showcase in Cleveland Ohio over the weekend. Steph Curry won the Kobe Bryant All Star MVP trophy with an incredible shooting display getting 50 points with 16 three pointers and set at least three records in the process. The other highlight of the weekend was the league bringing out the top 75 players in the history of the league.

Happy Valentines Day everyone I hope that you all had a nice day with your significant other. What better way to celebrate than breakdown an amazing weekend in sports.
The Super Bowl was a close, competitive game and a great ending to a historic NFL season. The playoffs have been phenomenal and it was a a massive event in the $5 Billion Sofi stadium in LA. The host team Rams won the game by a score of 23 to 20 over the upstart Cincinnati Bengals. The two big stars from the Rams were the best players on the field on Sunday. The MVP was Cooper Kupp who had the greatest season for any receiver ever. The defensive rock was Aaron Donald who won the defensive player of the year and was the catalyst for the victory. The Halftime show was epic and will probably go down as the best performance in the big games history.
The UFC 271 was a great card as the big middleweight title fight was the main event. Israel "The last Stylebender" Adesanya was defending his belt again against Robert "The Reaper" Whitaker. Izzy was the better man and kept his strap with a unanimous decision victory. The co-main had a big boy Heavyweight tilt on the docket Tai Tuivasa joined the upper echelon of the division with a huge KO of Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis.
We closed out the episode talking about the NBA and the busy week behind with the trade deadline and the week ahead with the All Star game coming up.

#Convoy #Patriotic #NFL #SuperBowl56 #UFC #NBA
We started our talk tonight with a rant about the ridiculous Convoys that have been taking over the country. The protestors have disrupted the lives of way too many of their fellow citizens and have swayed public opinion against supporting their cause. Some of the protestors were considered essential workers through the pandemic and were cheered for their hard work and sacrifice. They have now become vilified and widely criticized for the havoc they have caused. Enough is enough and it has become time to stop the madness!!!
The sports conversation started by discussing the horrific football game that was the Pro Bowl in Vegas. It was the worst game ever played and it made a mockery of the sport. Lets try and forget it ever happened. This has been one of if not the greatest competitive seasons in NFL history and we hope that the Super Bowl played in LA this coming weekend puts a perfect cap on this season.
We had a great breakdown of the UFC Fight Night Vegas 47. Sean Strickland used a great jab and takedown defense to beat fellow middleweight Jack Hermansson in the main event. There was a lot of great performances and it was a fun card to watch and dissect.
The podcast finished with NBA talk and we discussed a couple big trades and the deadline is fast approaching. The Association has always been known for a lot of trades and deals and this year is unprecedented in scope. The contenders and pretenders and rebuilds are starting to come more into focus as we get closer to the All Star break and trade deadline.
