What a great breakdown this was as we talked about 5 tournaments in golf.
The main focus was the Fedex St Jude Classic from Memphis, Tenessee. Justin Thomas took a huge three shot victory at 13 under to reclaim the world number 1 that he held back in 2018. He shot a beautiful 65 on Sunday to pull out the huge win. Brooks Koepka had a great opportunity to win just one shot back but hit it into the water on 18 and carded a double bogey. Phil Mickelson, Daniel Berger and Tom Lewis all tied Koepka for second place at 10 under par. Lewis shot 61 66 on the weekend to race up the leaderboard. Brooks goes into this week as the two time defending champion of the PGA Championship which will be held starting Thursday at Harding Park in San Francisco.
We also discussed the Barracuda championship and the first victory on the PGA tour for Richie Werenski. This tournament features some emerging talent and is the fifth consecutive year that a player has won his first tournament here. They use the modified stableford scoring system that rewards aggressive play and is fun to watch.
We then spoke briefly about the Champions tour and the Ally Challenge from Grand Blanc, Michigan. This was the debut for Jim Furyk in the Champions 50 and over tour and he had a two shot victory! He edged out Retief Goosen and Brett Quigley. Canadian Mike Weir also made his Champions tour debut and played solid and tied for 27th.
We then talked about the LPGA tour and the victory for Danielle Kang and her rise to #2 in the womens world ranking. This is the best ranking for an American woman in some time. Her partner in life is Maverick McNealy who finished a very respectable 7th at the Barracuda Championship. He has been having a lot of great results this year and really looked great heading into the final round. What a golfing power couple!
We spent a bit of time looking at the odds for the upcoming PGA Championship major. We will have a full preview on Wednesday so keep your eye out for that one! We will be giving you best bets and some optimal DraftKings lineups and parlays etc.

Another really great podcast episode with Jason Cameron and Complete Sports. UFC Fight Island fight night 174 had Robert Whittaker vs Darren Till and it was a technical masterpiece victory for "The Reaper" Whittaker. We had a very in depth breakdown of the whole card from top to bottom.
We also previewed the upcoming fight card from the Apex card in Las Vegas featuring Derek Brunson vs Edmen Shahbazyan.
Our conversation eventually turned to the NFL and the big trade for top safety Jamal Adams who went to to Seattle Seahawks along with a fourth round pick. The Seahawks traded two first round and one third round pick to the New York Jets and safety Bradley McDougald. A very steep price but for one of the best safeties in the game it could be worth it. NFL training camps are set to open this week and it will be interesting to see how things unfold.
The baseball world was rocked on Monday as word came down that 13 members of the Miami Marlins baseball team tested positive for Covid 19. The league then postponed their next two upcoming games as well as their last weekends opponents the Philadelphia Phillies game against the New York Yankees. This coming on the heels of the first weekends action in baseball's return to play has shook up the entire sports world.
We touched on the new name just announced the Seattle Kraken for the latest NHL hockey expansion franchise. Jason likes it and thought it was a great move by the team.
Enjoy this latest great episode breaking down most of the sports here in North America.

We went into great detail on the entire card.

We were able to breakdown the 2020 Memorial tournament from Muirfield Village in Dublin Ohio. This tourney is always remembered for being Jack's place as Jack Nicklaus is the designer of this course. The winner was John Rahm the Spaniard who took over the #1 world ranking spot over Rory Mcilroy. It was the second of back to back tournaments at the great track and this week the course had a lot more bite. The scores were high and it was a much tougher test as the course played so different from just a week before. Enjoy the breakdown.
We briefly previewed the 3M championship in Minnesota upcoming this week. We will do a more comprehensive preview and give betting tips on Wednesday the day before the first round.

This is a great podcast with our resident analyst Jason Cameron.
We spent the majority of the time breaking down the UFC. We delved into the Figueiredo vs Benavidez title fight and went through the whole card. We also looked ahead to dicuss the Robert Whittaker vs Darren Till card.
We talked about the NFL and the star players that recently took to social media to express their frustration at the seemingly lack of a plan to start this season safely.
Major League baseball just announced that Dr Anthony Faucci will be throwing out the first pitch for the Nationals against the Yankees. The doctor has been overworked in his capacity as one of the lead Coronavirus task force heads. After the Trump administration has tried to discredit Faucci it is nice he is being honoured with this distinction for his favorite team.
NHL revealed that they have over 2000 tests on 800 players with only 2 positive tests. Things are working so far in the top hockey league.
The NBA has tested 346 players this week with no positive test results. Speaking of the Association Jason finished up by saying that the food in the bubble has been horrible according to many players. Surprising news to us and we hope that it gets addressed asap.
Thanks for watching,

Complete Sports is thrilled about this podcast as we welcomed an old friend Olivier Pheulpin to join us and discuss soccer and basketball.
Olivier is the technical director for the Juventus soccer academy and soccer complex in San Antonio, Texas. Olivier is originally from France and he came to North America to cover the NBA as a reporter. He spent a few years in Vancouver covering the NBA expansion Grizzlies and then moved to San Antonio to cover the Spurs organization and league as a whole. He was fortunate to get to be an insider with one of the greatest organizations in sports in the San Antonio Spurs. They won yearly at an impressive pace and took home five NBA championships 1999, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014 in 15 years. With Olivier being from France one of his biggest sporting loves is Football(soccer in North America) and he decided to return as a coach for the Alamo Revolution in San Antonio . He had success and it seemed to fuel his desire for more involvement at a higher level. With a playing career and work experience with Paris Saint Germain on a resume and a knowledge and love for the sport of soccer he became interested in pursuing more opportunities. He became the director of Coaching FC Dallas in the Alamo area. He has the motto of just go for it and he was quoted once "If your dreams don't keep you up at night they are not big enough". He went on a European quest to find a top football club to bring a soccer academy to the US and specifically into the San Antonio area. He eventually found the right fit with Juventus one of the worlds premier football clubs. Juventus has Christiano Ronaldo one of the best players of his time and that has enabled them continue a dominance in Serie A. Juventus are poised to win their 9th straight League title and take a run at a Champions league crown. Ronaldo is one of the most marketable and famous athletes in the world. He is the most followed user on Instagram and Facebook and is typically one of the world's highest paid athletes. So not only has Olivier convinced Juve to start a soccer academy in this area they are also building a incredible soccer facility called Soccer Central. He should be incredibly proud of this accomplishment and for the good it will provide youth in the greater San Antonio area.
We shifted gears here and there and discussed NBA basketball at length and waxed poetic on memories we had covering the association. We spoke about the Last Dance Chicago Bulls documentary and how it was nice remembering how we were there for many of those moments. It was a really fun conversation and I didn't want it to end. We will have him back for more once things start back up soon. Thanks to Olivier and our viewers and listeners. One of my favorite people that first was a colleague and became a friend.
Enjoy!

Well this was a great day in the history of the Complete Sports media podcast. We welcomed in Jim Hughson an icon in Canadian sports broadcasting. He has been the lead play by play man for Hockey Night in Canada since 2009. He has been the by play play voice for the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays and the Montreal Expos. Jim is in the Hockey Hall of Fame for his broadcasting prowess and has won numerous other awards. We were able to connect with him just before he heads to Toronto to be the lead voice for the NHL playoffs. He will start by covering both the Toronto Vs Columbus and the Montreal vs Pittsburgh play in series. This year with the Covid 19 Pandemic shutting down the league and canceling the rest of the regular season we are in unprecedented times. With the NHL poised to resume with a 24 team playoff in two bubble cities in Toronto and Edmonton we are on the verge of a memorable summer of hockey! We were able to look ahead a bit to the tournament and talk about the uniqueness and improvisation that Jim and his broadcast team will have to face.
We also spoke at length about Jim and his life. It was one of my favorite hours in my life and can't wait to share it with you. Jim is going to go down as one of the best broadcasters to ever live and we were honoured to have him join us today!
I hope that you enjoy it half as much as I did.
