This a a really great breakdown of UFC 252 Miocic vs Cormier for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. This was a highly anticipated trilogy battle as both have one win over the other. The winner gets the title belt but also considered the baddest man on the planet which is a coveted title. It turned out to be a full 25 minute war and Stipe Miocic got his hand raised wining a unanimous decision. Stipe now also will be considered the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) heavyweight champion.
Daniel Cormier will not have his fairytale ending to his career. He didn't announce his retirement but will make it offical quite soon most people expect. He had a great career just not the ending he and his fans were hoping for.
The fight had to endure an unfortunate eye poke that Daniel Cormier said blinded him. He went to the hospital following the fight to get the eye checked and was told he had a torn cornea. The other two wars these two had with each other also were disrupted with eye pokes. One of the main reason why this third fight was a bit delayed was because Stipe had to go through eye surgery to repair a torn retina. Stipe looked great as he sported a slimmed down sleeker body and great game plan. The fight card had a lot of great battles and was really fun to watch and almost as fun to breakdown.

Well the qualifying round of the playoffs has just ended so we invited Dale Cory to do a breakdown with us. We also did a great in depth preview of the upcoming Stanley Cup playoff round of 16. This is such a great conversation about hockey that we really enjoyed ourselves and brought a lot to the table. If you are a fan of hockey you really should put this into your schedule and spend an hour with us!
This is the first day off since the restart happened and it gave us a lot of time to reflect on what occured in an unprecedented round of qualifying. The matchups have been decided and so we spent a good time on each series with a preview breakdown. We of course talked at length about the Vancouver vs St Louis series and we both think the Canucks have a legitimate shot at advancing past this opponent. The Blues are the defending Stanley Cup Champions but have not looked great in this restart and could be beatable.
All of the series seem to be a bit of a toss up in this new bubble world. The other Western Conference matchups are
Las Vegas VS Chicago
Colorado VS Phoenix
Dallas VS Calgary
The Eastern Conference series are as follows
Philadelphia VS Montreal
Tampa Bay VS Columbus
Washington VS New York Islanders
Boston VS Carolina
We covered them all and had a lot of takes and predictions.
The draft lottery second round happened while we were on the air and it was announced that the New York Rangers had won. This was definitely not the most popular or unpopular outcome but probably a great result for Alexis Lafreniere. He is the consensus # 1 pick as he has shone and been a star at the junior level. He has won the MVP of QMJHL 2 years in a row and the only player to ever do that is Sidney Crosby. He scored 35 goals and recorded 112 points in 52 games this past year. He also was the MVP of the World Junior Championships held in the Czech Republic scoring 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in six games. He led Team Canada to a gold medal in the tournament. Most everyone rejoiced that it at least wasn't Edmonton that won this lottery as they have won it four times before and it hasn't led to much success.
Enjoy the conversation about some great hockey we have witnessed these past weeks. The playoffs are shaping up to be such a blast to watch and we are excited that the real Stanley Cup playoffs are here.

This is a great conversation with Dale Cory discussing the years first golfing major the PGA Championship from this past weekend.
Collin Morikawa etched his name into the history books and beat the best field of the year to win his first major! This was a incredibly deep field with so many guys near the top of the leaderboard with an opportunity to win late into the final round. Morikawa with an eagle on the 16th hole when he drove the green on the par four was able to finally separate himself from the pack. He played incredible golf on the weekend with a 65 and a 64 to win by two shots at 13 under par.
It was strange seeing a major with no fans and it diminished the electricity and some of the excitement. Most golf fans are hoping that there won't be many more majors played without a crowd.
Paul Casey and Dustin Johnson finished two shots back of the winner at - 11 under par and played great golf just not good enough to hoist the trophy. There was a five way tie for 4th place featuring Jason Day, Bryson Dechambeau, Tony Finau, Scottie Scheffler and Matthew Wolff all at 10 under par. Tiger Woods struggled with his game at times but played solid golf on Sunday to move up 22 places on the leaderboard and tied for 37th at 1 under par shooting a 3 under 67 on the final day.
It was a great tournament with a lot of great play and drama. We loved it! Enjoy the breakdown it really turned out to be a lot of fun!

If you want some of the most fun and entertaining breakdowns of the UFC just watch our channel and podcasts!
We are always proud and thrilled to invite Jason Cameron into our podcast platforms. This was another great episode that was just a great back and forth conversation on the Derrick Lewis and Aleksei Oleinik fight card. The Black Beast proved how big and powerful he still is and got a huge Knockout win early in the second round. Oleinik was able to get Lewis to the ground in the first round and worked on many submissions attempts but the Beast survived the opening five minutes. In his corner Lewis got an earful telling him they wanted no more grappling and there really wasn't anymore as the fight was done after 21 seconds. Derrick came out he threw a flying knee into the body of Oleinik and then landed a big right hand that knocked him down. He pounced on him and started an onslaught of heavy right hands that eventually forced Herb Dean to call off the fight. This should keep Lewis in the conversation for a huge fight if not a title shot once Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic complete their trilogy fight next Saturday.
We then brokedown the card fight by fight with great coverage. It is always such a pleasure to hear the analysis of Jason as he has such an attention to detail.
Please watch and listen and it was a really fun and thought provoking discussion!

Check out our really fun conversation with Dale Cory discussing the PGA Championship.
The years first major ends up being the 102nd PGA Championship from Harding Park in San Francisco. One of the main focus points of this tournament heading in was Brooks Koepka the two time defending champ. He shot a four under par opening round standing in a huge log jam one shot back of the leaders Jason Day and Brendon Todd. There were nine players at 4 under 66 just a shot behind. Sitting at three under par 67 were 8 players after the first round. So if you do the math that is 17 players within two shots of the leaders!
The biggest featured group on Thursday was Tiger Woods matched up with newly crowned world number 1 Justin Thomas and world Number 3 Rory McIlroy. Tiger played a pretty solid opening round and managed a 2 under 68 and is tied for 20th. Rory shot an even par 70 and sits in a tie for 48th JT struggled with two double bogeys and shot a one over par and sits in a tie for 68th.
This is a fun tournament to watch and what about to play? Well we can try and ask some of the 20 club pros that qualified for this years tournament. Lets hope a bunch of them make the cut and we have a chance to see a cinderella story! I hope that we get a chance to speak to at least one of them on an upcoming podcast.
Enjoy this conversation and the tournament this weekend!

We welcomed Dale Cory to our podcast to talk about the NHL playoffs.
The Vancouver Canucks game had just completed a 3 to nothing win over Minnesota in game three just as we went to air. We discussed the game and the series at length. The Canucks young talent has really impressed us and especially Quinn Highes with three assists in this game. Vancouver lost the opening game by the same 3 zip score. This result had a lot of people concerned that this could lead to a really early exit from the bubble. After winning the second game 4 to 3 and now taking a two games to one lead the concern has waned. The series will have a short turnaround with a game tomorrow evening with the Canucks hoping to close out the five game series.
Our conversation shifted focus into a lot of the other highlights from the seven qualifier matchups. Then we briefly discussed the round robin seeding matchups that have lacked the intensity and focus that the qualifiers have had. We were thrilled again to have Dale join us to discuss the NHL and you will enjoy our conversation. Give it a listen and tell your friends and family!
