We had a great breakdown of the Super Bowl. Tom Brady has solidified his place as G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time) as he led the Tampa Bay Bucs to the 31 to 9 victory over the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. There was so much to breakdown and it was fun to discuss. The biggest factor in the blowout win was the Buccaneers defense that had KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes running for his life the entire game. This game was supposed to be the GOAT(Brady) against his heir apparent baby goat (Mahomes) but it really was a one sided game. Jason is like many football fans and analysts who have just become sick of the continued success of Tom Brady and he pulled no punches in his breakdown. There was so many aspects, interesting facts and discussion points that it was great to have Jason join us to put a wrap on this unprecedented season.
We brokedown UFC Fightnight Vegas 18. This was a heavyweight battle of Titans Alexander "Drago" Volkov vs Alistair"The Demolition Man Overeem.
We dissected the latest top stories for the NBA and went over the standings in some detail to see the intriguing stories.

This was the best most fun conversation that Jason and Darren have ever had in this platform.
The discussion started with our host talking about breaking news! He was only joking but was talking about Matt Lafleur getting fired for his terrible call kicking a late field goal in the NFC Championship game instead of going for a touchdown. The Green Bay Packers are licking their wounds today and everyone is questioning their play calling not trusting Aaron Rodgers in the most crucial moment of the game and season. It is an amazing exchange and it has so many funny elements to the conversation. The Conference championships were both intriguing matchups and eventually had the two best teams emerge victorious and will now face each other in the Super Bowl in two weeks on February 7th. The Tampa Bay Bucs were able to assemble a great team and convince the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady to come and lead them to the playoffs and the Super Bowl. This franchise had fallen on hard times recently and now will be the first team to play the title game in their hometown. This will be Super Bowl 55 and it has been played in 25 different venues and never has a home team been able to be there in the end. This will be Tom Brady's 10th Super Bowl appearance and he will be gunning for his unprecedented 7th ring. They will be facing a formidable opponent in the defending Champion Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs quite easily beat the Cinderella story Buffalo Bills to advance to their second straight Suoer Bowl. The Chiefs have also assembled an incredible array of talent and Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill both had monster games to cap off stellar seasons. This is the perfect matchup and has all of the earmarks of an epic game. We can't wait for this battle!
We turned our attention to a wrap up breakdown of the years first UFC pay per view UFC 257. The main event was a lightweight titanic battle between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. The Irishman was coming off a year layoff and had only been in the cage for 40 seconds the last time. Dustin "Diamond" Poirier had been taking all the top fighters in the division and was sharp and was trying to avenge a defeat at the hands of McGregor 6 years earlier. The first round was probably in McGregors favor but Dustin really beat up the lead leg of Conor with calf kicks. He eventually caught him with a shot that stunned him and he didn't give him a chance as he swarmed him and sent Conor to the canvas reeling from the first knockout loss of his career. It was a massive earth shattering event and changed the course of history. We speculated on what is next for both of the combatants and for the division and sport. We brokedown all of the fights on the card and talked about what is coming next for the organization.
Our podcast culminated with some NBA talk and the most important topics of the past week. It was a lot of fun to get into discussing some of the main goings on in the association.

We had such a great weekend watching the UFC, NFL and the NBA that we couldn't wait until we could break them down!
It was fun discussing one of the best main event performances ever from Max Holloway! He put on an incredible display of relentless punching combinations setting more records in a huge decisive victory. Calvin Kattar showed so much heart in surviving the onslaught of 750 punches in 25 minutes. Holloway put himself back into title contention with this masterful display of skill and volume. The co-main event pitted two veteran warriors that had been scheduled to fight on at least 2 occasions previously. Carlos"The Natural Born Killer" Condit was able to win a decision over Matt "The Immortal" Brown. It was a highly entertaining war that made everyone wish that the earlier matchups between the two had happened in the past. This was a very anticipated card after a three week hiatus through the holidays. It was a great night of fights from Abu Dhabi.
Our discussion turned to the NFL as four great matchups turned 8 teams into 4 left standing to try and battle it out for the Conference Championships.
The Tampa Bay Bucs and Tom Brady beat Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints 30 to 20. Tampa's defense was the difference as they forced four turnovers in the win.
They will be heading to Green Bay for the NFC title game against the Packers who had a huge 32 to 18 win over the LA Rams. Aaron Rodgers was the star and catalyst as he threw 2 TDs and ran one in himself as he backed up an possible MVP regular season with a terrific playoff performance.
The defending Super Bowl Champs the Kansas City Chiefs held off the Cleveland Browns 22 to 17 despite losing QB Patrick Mahomes to a possible concussion. The hero turned out to be 13 year veteran backup Chad Henne who had never appeared in a playoff game prior to Sunday. They advance to host the third consecutive AFC Championship game next Sunday.
The Bills utilized a tough defense and great game from top receiver Stefon Diggs to dominate the Baltimore Ravens 17 to 3. Ravens QB and former MVP Lamar Jackson made a critical error throwing a 101 yard pick six interception. Lamar later on was then put into concussion protocol himself and had to miss the rest of the game.
We finished off talking about the massive James Harden four team trade and the impact it has on the NBA. We finished off the night discussing Luca Doncic who has been amazing everyone and he continues to impress as he passed the Legend Michael Jordan in triple doubles over the weekend.

#Boxing #Dad #Halloffame #Olympics #Medalist
This is the second segment from our podcast conversation with Canadian boxing legend Dale Walters.
This one starts with speaking about his father Len Walters who was a Canadian boxing legend in his own right. Dale showed off pictures of his Dad that he has framed in his house. Len forged an incredible career and was 139 - 10 as an amateur and 14-4 as a pro. He won 4 BC championships, 2 National Canadian titles, the US amateur featherweight title and competed in the Olympics. He was on the undercard of the Joe Louis fight in Vancouver. Len was inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Those shoes were obviously very hard to fill for Dale but at an early age he set out to reach and even surpass his Dad's achievements. Dale was 165-12 won 3 BC championships, 5 Canadian National titles, he went to the Commonwealth and Pan American games before he went to the 1984 Olympics. Dale was included on the undercard of the Muhammad Ali fight in Vancouver against George Chuvalo because his Dad had been on the Joe Louis card years earlier. Dale has a great story of meeting "The Greatest" and also has pictures of that momentous occasion.
At the Olympics Dale won Canada's first boxing medal in 52 years as he won the bronze and did so in very dramatic fashion. The last guy to win that medal was Horace "Lefty" Gwynne in the same bantamweight division and also in Los Angeles. Gwynne was at the bout that Dale won his medal and was honoured before and after. Dale was part of arguably Canada's greatest assembled Olympic boxing team with Sean O'Sullivan, Willie Dewitt and Lennox Lewis among others. Dale initially was unhappy with winning the bronze medal but was treated like a National hero upon his return to Canada and the partying started and lasted a while. He eventually embraced his accomplishment and likes sharing great stories from his Olympic experience.
Dale talked at length of the honour of both his and his Father's induction into the BC Sports Hall of Fame as probably the biggest of his life. He invited his first ever sponsor Sev Morin who owned a night club, restaurant and banquet Hall to come to the induction ceremony and recognized him during his speech. He wanted to give payback to some those who were instrumental in helping him achieve all that he had in his career. Keep your eye out over the holidays for a couple more segments on our great chat with Dale.
